One thing you can do is load up a bunch of expensive cargo in your ship, jettison it in space, then your fiance grabs it and sells to the station, but it's a slow process. Realistically, you're better off running some wing cargo missions together, bounty hunting in a haz ree together, or doing some other cooperative task. Which is probably what everyone else will say here as well, after they explain that you wanting such an in game feature is foolish.
agreed - the profit sharing system is a bit twisted in general. I think they're planning on making some sort of change in the future, along with an overhaul of mining in general, but we'll see how well that really turns out. Technically, you can mine together, but you both need to collect rocks and do the refinery. It doesn't really work to have one person hauling like in Eve and another mining, or have one person firing mining lasers while the other scoops / refines. Division of labor / organization in general isn't really feasible do to the lack of such a system. Trading too is pretty superficial. It's all BGS driven as opposed to player driven, like what you see in games like Eve or even SC. You can affect the BGS but it's not like you can do things like corner a market or the other fancy economic games you can do in Eve.
Some would say this is because ED is more about the mechanics of actual flight, which is true. This is why I love ED... combat is far more interesting than anything you'll find in Eve, which is just point and click with one second updates. It's super lame... worst part of that game, and the best part of this one. But honestly, holes like this, and several other, like with the way system wars work, are pretty frustrating. Makes the game feel pretty one dimensional at times and is why many make the 'mile wide, inch deep argument.' Still, the combat really is awesome, and engineering is pretty rewarding. That's why I play at least.
they are thinking about developing their own game the way they see it fit, and elite is before being a multiplayer game a solo game if you did your research.
now for the reason why there is no trading between player that is simple, avoid gold farmer at top i'd guess.
on a more seriosu note tho, there's plenty of feature you may appreciate together with your wife, multi cre for instance or as said above, wing mission
As soon as you give the ability for players to trade stuff, you open the game up to gold farmers.
2) player trading, as others have said, enables gold farmers. Gold farmers ruin games.
3) EVE and Elite have about as much in common with eachother as Super Mario and Legend of Zelda (hell, i'd argue the later have more in common with eachother than the former).
As for the eve vs elite, they really are nearly identical in so many ways. Even the leaving the tutorial station and instantly dieing to another player is the same lol. What I learned there has carried over in most aspects of the game, it's makes the game familar even though I've never played it before this point. It's fun playing what amounts to first person eve.
With how meaningless credits are in this game, would it even be a good target? lol
Earn it or do without.
No need to complain.
