Passenger cabins?
I just got the horizons update for my game on PS4 and was looking at passenger missions and considering the Dolphin.
I notice that the passenger cabin seems to be a size 5 module which means I could probably fit the Dolphin for cargo hauling and have a decent amount of space, but does that also mean that I can put passenger cabins in any ship that has size 5 slots? Haul passengers with a cargo ship?
Would the passengers have a problem with this, or do they only care about the cabin?

Currently I've got a Cobra and about 3m credits, so I could pick up a second ship if it was worthwhile, but I'm not sure which one to go for next. I've already upgraded a lot of the systems on the cobra, so I'm not really interested in putting more money into that.
I've made most of my money so far in trying to combine cargo delivery and data delivery to the same systems.

Here is how passenger cabins work.

The Dolphin and Beluga can take the Luxury cabins, which are typically low capacity and allows you to take the posh snobs. This is irrelvant of size of the cabin/slot.

Other craft can take all the other types of cabin, Eco through to First. Again, slot size is irrelvant.

If you want a posh taxi, get a Dolphin or Beluga and make use of those Luxury options. If you just want a space bus, get any ship with a few module slots and fill them with the cheap seats. :)

Use this to build your ship. https://beta.coriolis.io/

Yes you can put passenger cabins in cargo ships no problem.

Different types of passengers need different cabins though. For example First class passengers usually won't go in Economy. Named passengers won't share a cabin.

Only Saud Kruger ships can fit luxury cabins but tbh sticking with economy is probably the way to go.

Only a few ships have slots that are locked for certain kinds of modules. Like the FAS - has 2 slots that will only take military modules.

It's worth doing a little research before you buy.

If passenger cabins can go in any ship, I assume they're very rare. I've never seen any for sale in any outfitting screens.
Are there stations that I'm more likely to find them? I check outfitting in most stations I land on looking for unusual stuff and haven't seen passenger cabins yet.

Also, thanks for the link Lei07. looks like some handy info.
they forgot the orca, it's the cool fisty upper middle version
use this to find modules and practically anything else you are looking for ingame

Outside of Jameson I think High Tech systems would be the best bet. I know for a fact Magnus Gateway in EZ Aquarii has them, I used to have to go there for techy stuff.
