At Dav's Hope for 1st time, questions.

I assume I only have to scan all the data uplinks the first time I am there, because even after logging back in/flipping, it says "Alert-already scanned."

Is that correct?

I have scanned all the data uplinks, so will this location be saved in my gal/sys map so I can just come tight to it next time?

I did bookmark the planet.

I am in solo play mode, when I am done for the night is it okay to just stay right here at Dav's Hope in my SRV and log out, or should I load up and go to Asire base close by?

How long doers it take to fill up on materrials here?

The message data points can be scanned once only whilst you can re-scan the one data upllink again for data when you switch mode or log out/in.

Hmm, I scanned/bookmarked the planet last but it still shows Unexplored, and can't remember if it shows up when your approach the planet - been there maybe twice only b/c I don't find it faster to gather mats/data.

On my last visit, either an Orca or some other ship (can't remember) keeps you company

Scanning the comm logs the first time should be enough. There is one uplink just inside the gates that will give you data every time you scan it.

The last time I was at Dav’s hope for two days, I just logged out in the SRV with no issues.

Thank you both, I went to Asire base to fuel up, and heading back now.

I am quite sure that since the planetr is showing (I have it targeted) that when I get close enough that Dav's Hope will show up, then I will just stayed parked there until I am finished gathering stuff or get too bored.

It showed as unexplored below the planet in the nav panel until I got perrty close, then it showed Dav's Hope in the nav panel and I was able to target it.

Asire Base, location of Wells Research Center (The round structure) has fuel and maintainance.

I did not have my fuel scoop on board but the 5 hops from LHS 317 was easily within fuel range, but I figured I'd top off so I could head back anytime.

Asire base is 22k Ls away from Dav's Point, which is about 5-6 minutes in super cruise.

Just in case anyone gets out here and does not have the fuel to get home with.

I went back and am calling it a NIGHT, I will just stay there until I get crazy want to kill someone in real life bored, I am already very bored, lol.

I farmed enough mats there to engineer the FSD's on most of my fleet to G4, many to G5, and completely max out my exploration ships (as well as thrusters on most of them to G3 (gotta unlock some more engineers to go further), and autocannons - about 35 ships or so. And I've still got LOTS of unused mats that are not used in any of these 3 upgrades.

Take it slow and easy - pace yourself. You'll be glad you did.

No, it does not. You've gotta find it manually. But after that it will show up when you're within 1000ls (I think).

these kind of sites require navigation the first time. An exception would be guardian structures which show up at 1000ls even if it is the first time you have been there. There are also sites like the thargoid crash site that has to be navigated each time because there is no datapoint to scan.
