Shock cannons worth getting?

The only guardian tech that looks worth getting is the FSD booster, but the shock cannon actually looks quite fun, is it worth the materials grind?

Atm. they´re not really worth to farm them.

I got them as they are the only gimbal experimental weapons I think.

They deal more armor damage and fire faster than normal cannons, except can't be engineered. The low ammo capacity also requires 5 mats to replenish with synthesis if you don't want to restock at a station.
