Has research ever been conducted on soontill relics and their connection to Guardians/Thargoids?

This seems like something that one of the many player factions (looking at you, Canonn) would be interested in, but I see nothing online about it.

On that same note, has anyone ever done anything with the Trinkets of Hidden Fortune, or are those things still too rare to feasibly research?
