Seems like a solid loadout, however I could just afford B-class modules on the more expensive stuff (FSA and shield). How is aiming done with those rockets? Should I rather go with guided rockets?
If you want I can take you out in my Chieftain and show you a few weapons, laser beam, multi cannon, fragmentation canon, and seeker missles.
And to top it off, you will get to keep half of the bounties we collect.
To make sure you have plenty of power to run everything you might go with a D rated life support and sensors, if you go with A rated everything you'll end up over 100% and will have to shut some things down.
If you are right at 100% you can disable cargo hatch, etc...
The eagles are good ships to aim accurately with so if you're gonna use fixed weapons or railguns on anything I figure this is a good place to use them, but you may prefer gimballed varients depending on what your aim is like. But I'd probably go for 2 bursts plus 1 kinetic/thermal-kinetic or 1 beam plus 2 kinetic/thermal-kinetic. Railguns are only available fixed but can do a lot of damage when you get a good shot in, I have mine on secondary fire.
A seeking missile rack can also be used as an alternative to the kinetic and will often allow you to destroy your target quicker. However they tend to run out of ammo faster and if your target has point-defence / ECM the missiles may end up being pretty useless anyway. I tend to use missile racks on ships which I don't plan to attack with, and just use them for defense when I get attacked. On ships which I'm likely to be attacking multiple hostiles with, like a bounty hunting ship, I'll usually use multicannon.
I usually use different weapon groups depending on whether enemy shields are up or not. It they're up, I just use thermal weapons, if they're down I usually just use the others (though you can include the thermals in that group as well if your power distributer is coping fine).
