I know you can buy the cutter for a 10% discount at Lausang but can it be bought for less?

Why to throw away 30mil discount ? That are 7A rated sensor, powerdistributor and life support for free? Armor is cheaper too since it is based on the stock prize. Insurance is cheaper too, since it is based on the prize+modules.

This is where I bought mine. 15% discount there but you aren't going to be able to do much in terms of module upgrades at that station because their outfitting for the cutter is pretty limited. You can do a bit with the weapons and a couple other things but things like the FSD, power plant, distributor etc , you need to go elsewhere. Fortunately about 6ly away there is Jacobi Hub in Basuki An where you can finish your outfitting and you get a 15% discount on the outitting there as well (they don't set the cutter, so you have to go to both stations).

To be fair, if the discount is the only way you can afford it, then you probably shouldn't buy it. I think that was the point Bannor was trying to make.

A fully fitted cutter, depending on its intended use is between 500m-1.2 billion. You just going to throw away 100-200m credits? Thats a lot of credits in this game and you could buy and fit out a couple nice ships for that money. So the question is, wouldn't you like 2 ships free with your cutter purchase and outfitting?

if that was his point, he should have made it better. Rather than snip at the OP, why not just remind him that the outfitting on the cutter after purchase is going be another 300-900m depending on your intended use?
