Dropping, too close.

I was attempting to go to a resource extraction site near a ringed planet to do a little bounty hunting tonight. I zoned out slightly as I was approaching the site, and went a bit past it. as soon as I got past it, I got the above message, and it dropped me out of supercruise. Now it immediately drops me out of supercruise as soon as my frame drive powers up. (I was actually in the 'safe disengage' zone, but the emergency drop activates before I can hit J.) I've been flying away from the planet for an hour.
My ship wasn't carrying any cargo, and the insurance is less then 200k. At this point I'm tempted to go find a large rock to fly into repeatedly. Any other advice, though?

Point your ship up or down aiming for clear space. The rings are on a horizontal plane. If you need to, pivot you ship so you can see the planet then you will kown where "up" and "down" is and point away into spece.

Go full throttle, 4 pips in engines and boost, boost boost until free of mass lock, then make sure all hard points are retracted and go into super cruise. Do not change course until well away from the rings or you will just drop again.

You can only go into SC or hyper jump when the Mass indicator light (right side) goes off.

You’re getting mass lock from the rings not the planet you need to move away from the rings

About 15 min after I posted this, I was finally able to supercruise away. When I was very close in my mass lock light was on, but for the majority of that time, it was not on. I don't doubt that I was being mass locked, but it seemed kinda screwy that the light wouldn't stay on.

Anyway, after all that I didn't want to go into the stress of combat, so I just ran missions and trading for the night. Still made almost 1 mil. (6 more to go, minimum, before I can even look at the asp I want.)
