Private Group recomendations

I am considering joining a PvE group but i am torn.
I would like a rather big group to play with with an active playerbase but i really dont know how to start.
The subforums about this have left me even more confused since most of them read like a tv comercial that talk about my potence and how their group makes my private parts even bigger.

So i thought "why not ask this here" .

Do any of you have some recomendations for private groups ? Doesnt have to be fancy ones or ones who promise me the world and ditch me on the altar.
Just asking for a little guidance and opinions.

look up Mobius.

theyre awesome. they have different groups for different timezones because theyre so big the groups ran out of room ( 30k members is the limit fir a single group)

theyre going through a purge right now and moving to a new group names to purge inactive accounts. they have a forum where you can report rules abuse and they act very quickly.

You have to sign up on their web page before they'll accept you in game.

Just click on "Join" at the top of the page.

Thanks - but their lack of in-game response has taught me to do without them; now I'm no longer interested.

They won't reply to anyone personaly. They have tens of thousands of members officialy, 20k in one I currently am at, but that's just a single group, with at least a couple of groups in existence.

they WILL NOT accept you in-game without first validating who you are and having an email addres they can contact you on in case you turn out to be a troll or they need to contact you for whatever reason. It's part of their vetting process to make sure the riff raff out.

also, without an mobiusPVE forums account, you can't report someone violating the rules (as in...if someone kills you, you'd have no recourse)

This! Exactly this. They had issues with trolls joining to kill people only to throw them out afterwards, when it was already too late.
And FDev don't care about that, they only set up "no harassment" rule in case you did that more than once...

Well.. i applied to them yesterday. I still didnt hear anything back. No validation email or anything else. Just have to keep waiting then. :D
And yes i applied through their website and ingame like it is described on their site. =P

you won't get an email...if you set up your mobiuspve account, filled out the appropriate form, and sent them an ingame request (in other words, followed the directions) in a day or two you will just be accepted and the group will appear in your "private group" list. It's all very unceremonius.

yeah, they're really trying to maintain that FDev/Elite feeling even in the 3rd party site because some of their users complained about "imeeeerrrrhhhhhhhhzhon!"

Yeah -'cos trolls never have access to an email account. I totally get it. What a fool-proof system! /sarcasm.
I appreciate the advice - but I'm not gonna jump through hoops to end up in the same kind of position I'm in now without jumping through hoops. They can't / don't want to manage their groups effectively - not my problem.
As I said - I'm quite happy playing in solo, or with a few friends. If I want more - I'll play in open. I don't need Mobius.
