Mining Laser Cooling
Is there any engineer that can change the thermal values of mining lasers?

I run 3x2d + 2x1d atm and i am running a bit hot on bigger rocks.

try an A rated power plant engineered for low emissions.

Might help on the base value, atm i got an unengineered A rated one at 26%.

Interesting read on heat generation and consumption. Very detailed.

you might also go with smaller lasers - in a good mining rig your collectors are still going to be the limiting factor.

Atm my 8 collector limpets can keep up very well with the lasers just wanted to get rid of the small break to cool down again.

It's really nothing dramatic, it's just a QoL change if you for me.

I am atm in mining in a python and farming for the ultimative mining behemoth the T10 (at least thats my opinion) since it got a type 7 distributor with the patch.

I might as well deal with the issue until i got the creds i need. Thanks for the input btw.

you use a ton more lasers than i did when i went mining....I'm pretty sure mining lasers are not engineerable.

Another thing to look at is a charge-enhanced distributor - the closer your capacitor is to 100% the less heat your weapons generate (also 4 pips to weapons helps)....might be worth a shot as well.

I engineerd my distributor but i didn't know that they generate less heat when closer to 100%
Thats indeed something that helps, i'll have to check by my engineer.
Thanks again
4pips in weapons is standard :D

I do wish we could engineer mining lasers. The long range mod would be great for it.
