Wait for your noteriety to drop back to zero then fly to Interstellar factors and pay off the bounty.

Interstellar factors contacts are found in low security systems afaik.

If I'm not mistaken, you'll need the services of an Interstellar Factor. Where to find one I've no idea

Wait, so they made getting rid of small bounties more difficult, yet the "oops I accidentaly shot a clean NPC or an obvious pirate before the scan finished, now every security agent is shooting at me over a 100 cr bounty" thing still happens?

Unfortunately there are those who play the game that delight in being jerks, and if there was a quick route, they would quickly remove their bounties then be back to being jerks once again.

Having said that, i think the bigger jerks will just continue flying with their bounties.

Well I just got myself a shiny 5k murder bounty a few minutes ago so looks like I have to go and fly around for 2 hours later to get my noteriety down.

You're entirely right: it IS moronic to shoot a clean ship, or not let the scan finish before firing, or shoot the system defence force ships...

We all still do it though :Steamhappy:

I had some trouble finding Interstellar Factors as well but managed to figure it out. You can filter by security in the galaxy map. Populated, low security systems should have Interstellar Factors at one of their stations. You can also filter by services but I found this to be hit-or-miss. I went to all (only three) stations in a system that supposedly had the service but didn't find it. When filtering systems by security I found it every time.

Kind of annoying that you can't just pay up in the offending system, especially when you have small fines for little things like trespassing.

What do I do now?

A sidewinder hit my ship from behind when i was flying 101m/s.
I received the fine and bounty in Sirius, but the 400c bounty is in Namba.

Where to do I fly?

LHS 538/Jemison vision/contacts/interstellar factor.

If you need to wait out noteriety just fly around in a different system from where you got the bounty, or land on a planet and leave the game running and go take care of errands if you get bored.

Go pay off the boutny (In Namba I guess, I've never had that happen, but try there in contacts first) and try to keep your speed at 99 or less around all stations until you recieve the all clear from the controller.

yea its mad stupid now. i left for a year and a half and came back to this notoriety crap. i basically flew around the system that had a dock with interstellar factors for an hour and a half and my 1 notoriety went down to 0. then i docked, paid it off, and was good again until i decided to go ape on more federal security ships who wouldnt stay out of my way in a RES site.

Can't you just go to a station and pay it off? Even if you go to a station where you're "Wanted" it'l give you basic docking privilages.
