Old saitek cyborg not registering
Hey guys I just wondering if any of you have had any luck getting an old saitek cyborg 3d gold usb flight stick to work with Elite. I just found out Windows 10 recognizes it and supports it after knocking the dust of the stick and plugging it in. Calibrated it in the windows and after starting the game it recognizes "generic flight stick", now my game pad works for the game and my saitek av8tor is recognized with it's name and works. Now the tricky part, the cyborg doesnt work in game at all, if I go to customize it reads the buttons being pushed and registers them when i set a custom keybind but in the game nothing works at all. I would love to use the cyborg as it is/was one of my favorite sticks and soooo comfortable with the adjustments but may be out of luck. Grateful for any help or input.

Valve really needs to address this issue.... here is your solution and thank you for being exact and mentioning that "generic flight stick" http://steamcommunity.com/app/359320/discussions/0/1290690926876390564/
Alternative solution: Start Elite without steam ;-)

Yeah I came across those fixes when I was having trouble, sry should have mentioned that too. Well ran through them again and started it out of and in steam and the joystick registers in game now and in the customization setup. Thanks for the quick reply, and dispelling the juju or something. I know I ran through all those steps over the weekend but who knows.

I've used a saitek cyborg 3d wireless with Elite, but I kept running into problems windows losing sight of the joystick. I bought a thrustmaster hotas and I've never looked back.

I bought it probably over 15 years ago for Mechwarrior 2 and Janes combat and just loved the feel of it and being able to adjust the thumb buttons and hand rest. I was just thrilled that Windows 10 recognized it, since I was planning on getting into world of war planes again.
