Type 9 or Type 10?
Which ship is best for trading? The Type 9 or Type 10?

With the update incoming shortly the T9 will indeed get a buff - additional class 8 optional internal slot. That will put her total cargo capacity almost as much as that of the Imp Cutter's - over 700 tons. The T10 will not receive said buff, so her cargo capacity will still remain about 500 tons

So yeah, T9 will be better next week

Are ship prices likely to change, in view of this?

Type-9 desperatly needed a buff and im really happy its getting one.

Cutter will always (Unless FDEV add a new ship thats better, which I doubt), be the top tier for trading. Mainly due to the slightly higher cargo than the post-buff type 9 and higher speed/defenses.

Type-9 pre-buff was garbage, if you liked trading you went

Sidewinder-Cobra-Asp-Type7-Python-Anaconda-Cutter

Anaconda has a slightly lower cargo capacity but it has like 3x the jumprange and its a hell of a lot harder to pirate.

I am actually leaning toward the Type 7 as 'the best' for two reasons.

1. hella cheaper for the amount of storage you get
2. better jump range

If you can find a route that works with 1 jump with the type 9 you might as well be printing money.

Same goes for the cutter and conda.

But Type 7 is a medium size ship tagged as a large size ship, is barely bigger than Fer-de-Lance and Phython for example, and these two are medium ships.
This is the main reason why almost nobody uses Type 7, only the people who don't have enough money for the Type 9, Type 10 or Imperial Cutter.

I make 18.5 mil/hr with type 9. One jump wonder! Not telling where though...mine, all mine!!!!

Wing of T9th now making one billion+ in hour on all 4, if they know what they doing.
This is how the pro hauling team works.

T10th cannot do it.
