Cobra MKIII or Diamondblack explorer?
Should I keep my Cobra MKIII quite equiped or change it for the Diamondblack explorer?

That depends, what do you currently do with your cobra? Combat, trade exploration?

Trade and exploration, I like combat but it feels that the Cobra is weak

Cobra is a great Knife-Fight combat ship, with it's slim profile, if you can keep yourself oriented properly against the target, most attacks will miss. I kill Elite FDLs in mine, granted It's way overengineered, with Slug cannons that rip apart everything in close range fights.

In other words, the Cobra MKIII is not a ship Novices will find easy to use in combat against high-tier enemies. Anything lower than like expert though, you can probably kill in a Hauler.

Cobra gets messed up bad in any situation where you're outnumbered though. It's a duelists' combat ship on the best day.

Go explore in a DBX, do a trip to one of the nearby nebula, when you come back and sell your data buy a Vulture for combat and upgrade the DBX to an Asp. Best of both worlds until you get to the bigger ships.
