Beginners starting system.
Is there any specific about the location when a player started to play or it's completely random?

As far as I'm aware you pick between to systems to start in. And you stay in a zone that most players don't have access to so you can't get blown out of the sky by some a hole :p

I'm in the starter zone, are you saying I can never leave that zone, without starting a new game?

You should be able to leave when you're ready to. Players like me, with 100's or even 1000's of hours (and possibly even you after you leave) shouldn't be able to enter your starter zone. (if you picked the pilot's federation's starter zone (I don't know the name off the top of my head). Keeps us big boys out letting you guys learn to fly and play safely. (in open) you can always play safely (away from pvpers) in solo. or in private with trusted friends

No, you don't have to start a new game.

As soon as you gain a rank in either combat, trade or exploration you will be offered a "graduation" mission. If you take that mission it will lead you out of the newbie zone and into the open world. After you finished the graduation mission you will then no longer be able to enter the newbie zone again.

Ok, people are talking about the *new* beginner zone. I'm an old "noob" which I started somewhere I have no idea and now I want to know was my place chosen completely random? Again, it's not regarding the new beginner zone which released today. I agree the timing is confusing for this question...

How do I get this mission? I gained rank and I saw what I think was the mission, I remember the reward was around 250,000, but didn’t take it at the time. Now I’m ready to do the graduation mission and leave but I’m not seeing it at the stations I’m visiting.

I'm sorry, I don't know; I haven't played through it yet.

Maybe check if there's an ingame message about it by a mission giver in your inbox?

It will be the mission at the top of the list of missions, The station manager will say something along the lines of 'you are ready to graduate' I took the mission, but didn't have enough fuel to jump, I suppose this is where I learn to plot routes.

Dromi is the new 'protected' starter system.

I'm docked in Matet (in the starter area) and that mission is not listed at all.

I received a message a while back that my rank has increased to mostly penniless and that my insurance would no longer be subsidised so i'm eligible to receive the mission.

Do you have to be in a certain station or speak to a certain person to get the mission?
