You should fly that ship as it is to nearest Interstellar Factors, and clear off your legal problems.
Don't store those modules - it will be much more expensive to clear them later.

Just change your location to find one closest to you.
Use the map filters to find the closest "low security system". Almost all of them have Interestellar Factores in the "Contacts" menú of the stations.
But, if you have killed an innocent and you've won some notoriety, you can't "clean" your ship until the notoriety drops to 0. Notoriety drops 1 unit every 2 hours.
Can I clear ships that I'm not flying while I'm there? Upon looking a bit more I notice my old Cobra 3 seems to have fines or something on it as well.
Not sure how I'd have done this in the first time since I'm pretty careful about not shooting anyone not wanted, but as long as it's easy to clear up I guess it's not big deal.
At least it's close. Although it makes me picture some low level employee standing on my hull painting the words "Not Wanted" in giant letters for the security forces to see. lol.
That's a bad idea actually... Notoriety doesn't go down when you're offline.
