Data link scan
Need help. No matter what i do i can not get my data link scanner to work. Its in fire group and everything but still nothing. I have been through everything and even have a buddy online thats tried to help me with it...still nothing. Any ideas?

The thing you want to have scanned needs to be targeted and you have to be really close (within like 200m or so).

Did you press and hold in the fire button? It takes a while to scan.

really? I always used the data scanner in the blue hud. on the SRV for example you have to use the blue hud to even use the scanner. So sorry if i confused it. is there a difference then?

On the ship I use it in combat mode.

SRV when scanning obelisks I also use combat mode.

*Just checked and it seems to work in analysis mode too.

I've a feeling something similar was posted a while back and that player had to unbind some other keys.

Edit:

Try unbinding any multi crew weapons keys.
