Mining system - Bromitte, Painite etc..
Hello

I'd like to know something.. Since it looks like i can't buy the Minerals like Bromelite and Painite, i've started to farm it, with Mining Lasers.

I do have my ship fitted for it, but it looks so damn long!! I don't exactly understand the refinery process.

I've done like 10-15 different Asteroid for a total of 32T of different materials, i'm in a pristine ring, in a painite hotspot, and i've got only 9T of theese 32T of Painite ( +- 30Min)

In order to unlock the next engineer i need 50T of bromelite, isn't there a way to make the mining process faster? I can't imagine how long is it gonna take me to get 50T of a certain mineral..

Thanks in advance

Try deep core mining. It’s the way to go.

I know deep core mining since i've made 800Million of credit with Void Opal, but does it work with Painite, and mineral in general?

Also, how to target specific Painite asteroid? Will it make the process faster than manually mining as i do right now?

You'll only find the most valuable minerals in deep core deposits (with the exception of bromellite, which isn't valuable).

Yes, you should be able to find painite fissure asteroids in painite hotspots.

I've also found bromellite fissure asteroids in icy rings sometimes.

There's no way of knowing asteroid composition beforehand.
You need to either send prospector limpets to asteroids around or use the mining laser to get some sample chunks off them.

Painite is only found in metal rich and metallic rings, though.

Here, this tool should help you find some overlapping painite hotspots:

Yeah, go to an overlapping hotspot. You can fill 200t+ very quickly. You do need to approach it differently to core mining though. Lots and lots of limpets, prospecting every asteroid you see. You'll also need to have your ignore list set accordingly.

With the old school mining I got my required Painite in a few minutes, the first rock I scanned were filled with it.

It has been a while but I am sure I got it all right there on the first one, maybe a second also, can't remember, but I was in and out in 10 minutes.

Ok Important Update : Void Opal Does count as Mining Ore, i just checked to be sure..

Heh, wasn't that another thread?

If you just want to save time, go to the East India Trading Company in Elite: https://eicgaming.com/trading-post/. There you can buy any commodity for engineers for a fair price, just follow the steps on the website and the discord.

Yeah i made a mistake, it was for the other topic, but for this one btw, i've found a bromelitte motherload that yield me alone 15T of it.. I've found my all optimized route for this..

Farming Void opal for credit, while up my 000/500 Stat, Getting my 50T Bromelitte for the next engineer, its all good !!!

You're doing mining missions? In my opinion not worth it.

Just go mining if you want to mine. Finding specific ores is just a pain.

However, to speed it up, prioritize collectors over cargo space. Always have enough mining lasers to keep your collectors busy.

That's the best way to keep things going at max speed.

Its for unlocking the next engineer

CF ; Do not leave until you have 50 Tons of Bromellite and 10 Tons of Painite!

"Go to Kuk, donate your Painite, and rank up Selene Jean until you get information on Didi Vatermann and Bill Turner.

Step Nine: Bill Turner

Time: Shortest

Best Module: Plasma Accelerators and Sensors

Requirements:

-Gain Friendly Status with the Alliance and Allied Status with the Alioth Independents to get a permit to access Alioth. DONE

-Donate 50 Tons of Bromellite to Bill Turner"
