How do I know if I'm in the noob zone ?
Obviously I'm a noob. So far the games looks beautiful and runs smooth. I'm a person who enjoys flying around , exploring etc so I'm gonna enjoy this game.

When I first started Horizons it asked if I wanted to go in the zone for new players and I selected that. Afterwords that option doesn't seem to show up. It just gives me play online where I might run into other players.

Am I now not in the noob zone when I go online now? Sorry if this seems retarded. Soo much to learn here . Thanks in advance

That's not true actually, one of the first things I did accidentally was jump to a new system and dock at a station outside of the 'starter systems' and I immiedietly got a message saying my Pilots Federation District Permit was removed.
As I had progressed beyond requirements for accessing the systems.

Also to answer the question about the "noob zone"
If you can't see the zone markers for the starting area do this.

Go to your galaxy map;
> Click the fifth tab
> Look down for "STARTER ZONE MARKERS"
> Click it so the square is orange
< Unless it is already orange you can see them then.
> Then look around yourself for the markers.
+ you can see which one it is next to the option to turn it off.

:D

It will take you to where you last were. So in the noob zone. If you look in the galaxy map, if here is an orange icon below your blue arrow, your in the noob zone

^^ This right here, plus, if you uncheck everything else they'll be the only things you see. You can zoom right out of the galaxy and these will stick out like a sore thumb.

There's also a keybind that might be worth checking which centres the map on your current location if you ever move things around to the point you have lost track.

Iirc, Apr Update notes mentioned you need to take on a mission to leave PFD system after gaining an Elite rank.

Did any CMDR salute you when you left the sanctuary?

Well I have a Pilots Federation District Permit issued and I'm at WOLFSEGEN with an Orange marker over it on the Galaxy map so I think I'm still OK phewww.
