Can't invite friend to multi-crew "Invitee is already in a crew"

Friend can't join my crew. he has horizons and everything but it keeps telling me he is already in a crew after I send the invite.

Easy fix: if you're friend is in a multicrew capable ship and they have multicrew on, it needs to be turned off.(chat panel: multicrew: disband crew). If he is in a wing he needs to leave said wing and then you can resend the invite. This works both ways to(if he gets the above message- when he tries to invite you). Also there are multiverse seat limits as well.

It won't let me invite him if he is in a wing or a crew. So that is not the problem. I think the problem is somehow connected to his account because it crashes me when he invites me.
