Some passengers can go into higher class cabins (not lower ones). For example, business passengers can take first class cabins. But higher the class - fewer passengers it can hold.
You can cram Economy class ones, though.
if your just transporting from point A to B then eccon class..." early game".
once you get to a anaconda cram it with first class only and in a great location you can make upto 15mil per run.
or you could take sum passenger's out to colonia for 50mil
Why this ship and not a Belugia or Orca?
Nice, love the sound of that. Where can I find one? (Currently at Beagle 2 Landing in Asellus Primus)
Economy Class are cramped, utilitarian, and affordable. Families, refugees, laborers, and businessmen will use these as daily commutes, so they aren't very rewarding jobs to take, but they do have a very important purpose outside of travelling. More on that later.
Business and First Class cabins are mechanically the same, except that Business holds less than Economy, and First Class holds even less than Business, but certain jobs REQUIRE these cabin classes or higher to take. They are better than other multi-passenger jobs, but still relatively unrewarding.
Luxury Class is unique in that they hold the least passengers, starting at only ONE passenger, and they can only be equipped on Liner Class ships, the only three so far being the Dolphin, Orca, Beluga, and apparently the unseen, non-pilotable Narwhal, which are all owned by Saud Kruger.
Luxury Class Passengers tend to be rich, snobby, needy, and generally feckwadding insane, asking you to pick up a fridge and some groceries in the middle of a firefight, getting upset if you get scanned by law enforcement, or accidentally park too hard.
Gameplay wise, there's really only 3 you need to worry about: Luxury, First Class, and Economy.
Luxury Jobs are a good source of money and reputation, and you really don't need to worry about Passenger Demands unless it risks them failing the mission. Used to be the meta for farming cash, but it's still a 'fun' way of increasing Exploration rank. The beacons can be interesting to read about if you haven't done them to death.
First Class lets you make the same amount of money as most luxury jobs, if not more, but only if you have the space to accommodate 3 or 4 A level cabins. You don't have to deal with Luxury Requests either, so no risk in failing the mission because of a random bandit ruining a few thousand light-years of work.
Economy Class aren't good money when it comes to transport jobs, but the huge personnel space makes them almost mandatory for Rescue Missions from distressed outposts and stations. Doing these will skyrocket your reputation. Just find a station that's burning and go in with some heat sinks. You'll be fine, probably.
