Anaconda hardpoint advice
I've been using my anaconda for passengers and trading, however I'm also planning to use the same ship to grind rank for the fed corvette. I was wondering if anyone has any good advice on a hardpoint loadout for PvE rank grinding. I currently have gimballed beam lasers + multicannons and a cannon in the huge slot. While this has so far wrecked everything I've came across, It just doesn't "feel" optimal, like I don't have any long range weapons or something. If anyone has any advice I could use it. Also please note this isn't a ship targeted for end game CZs it's just for rank grinding, trading and general purpose missions.

In my experience having an optimal weapon loadout is unnecessary unless your doing combat zones. My corvette runs around with 3 mining tools attached permanently and my evacuation anaconda is unarmed.

I highly recommend a long range g1 engineered huge beam laser with a charge enhanced power distributer though. Possibly a couple large ones in addition to that if your distributor can take it, then some hull shredding weapons, preferably including a corrosive multicannon. I also recommend packhound missiles for massive dps until you run out which is fine for defending yourself.

Without engineering it just boils down to multicannons and as many lasers as you can power comfortably.

Actually beware if your running around with 10-20 missions active. Pirates will be increadibly numerous and dangerous, it may be wise to ditch all weapons for maximum speed and grab a fighter as a distraction if you often fail interdictions

Ship Launched Fighter. Plus, I like having a huge engineered plasma accelerator.

Why bother if you're already outfitted for passengers? Go to a damaged starport and grind fed rank.

I do not think pure combat is an ideal way to grind super power ranks. There are various missions that likely can do better.

That said for an Anaconda load out medium long range super pen. rails or feedback cascade rails are a lot of fun. They offer a sort of burst dps, and are good at sniping modules why fighting medium and big ships.

I normally pair this with beams or pulses on the huge hardpoint, and also the lower large hardpoint.

The two top large hardpoints can basically be whatever. Dual Pulse turrets can be effective if you are facing many wings of small ships. (the issue with this is often distributor draw being too high, and making it hard to use the other harpoints effectively so engineering the distrib or the lasers is usually a good idea.)

Plasma Accelerators are fun, and do absolute damage, but they can take a while to get used to, and are only really viable against medium and large ships.(small ships and some mediums are very hard to hit with PAs.)

Having an SLF can be a life saver. Personal preference is the fixed beam Taipan (Gelid F).

Care to elaborate? I've been exploring for 200 hours.

This one works quite well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKJbPpjSa3U
It's a good place to start and can easily be modified/upgraded over time, when you get more familiar with the ship and unlock a few engineers.
I use a similar build for derping in res sites. :cozyroe:
