How do you unlock felicity farseer?

Im at farseer inc and it says buy moficiation to unlcok next grade but what does that mean?

you have to upgrade your ship with her to unlock higher grades of upgrades

You fly to the Maia star system, land at a planet with the station, and buy one. Then you fly back to Felicity's place.

If you don't want to have problems with griefers - fly back in Solo mode. Otherwise you have good chances to be killed, and you will have to do the 400Ly trip to Maia again.

Where (in game) does it say you need the Meta-Alloys? I've received the invite, flown to the facility, docked, and tried to access the services, but I see under Contacts that they're unavailable. I have "Current Access - Invited" and "Next Unlock" is blank. I can't see where in game it tells me what to do. I've seen online that I need to go to Maia to get the Meta-Alloys, but if I hadn't checked online, how would I know to do this?

I've reached Surveyor rank, received the in game mail for the invitation, flown to her station, docked, undocked, docked again, relogged, undocked flown to Maia and got the Meta-Alloys and flown back, docked, relogged, but still have the same screen where she's not unlocked yet. Any suggestions?

Ah so for those unsure of how to do this... rather than looking under "General Services", go to the "Engineer's Workshop" above your shipyard and outfitting options, and then select "Donate" on the right hand side of the screen whilst you have the Meta-Alloy in your inventory. Also, if you check your in ship panel (the one on your right), you can select "Engineers" from the options to the right of your ranks, to see what status you are up to with each of the invitations thus far.
