Incorrect cockpit mode, press M

I'm in the tutorial and pressing M does nothing. What do I do?

Most likely a double-bound button. You can go into the controls and remap the Cockpit Mode button, I have mine on "/".

It is also likely that you need to press N instead. It sometimes assumes you're in the wrong 'mode' (ie: Combat mode/discovery mode) but actually, you just need to change weapons, or tools with N key.

Same occurs with Having Hardpoints and/or Cargo scoop out;
It will tell you that you have the cargo scoop still out, when actually you have the hardpoints out.

A lot of my keybindings randomly stop working until restarts are done, no double binds. It's very annoying to be honest.

I set 'change cockpit mode' to '6' and haven't regretting it one bit. I made '5' night-vision.
