Getting to friendly with the Sirius Corporation by selling things

I went to Procyon to sell my painite for massive profit and all of the sources I've seen online state that this is enough to turn any minor faction to allied in one go. And yet, it did not have the same effect. Sirius Corporation, which owns the station where I sold the painite at, had its reputation moved very slight from completely neutral to just barely cordial. I then also sold exploration data at the station and the meter stayed much the same. Have the numbers significantly changed?

I think you're right, I see now that it still works for other systems.

Dumping Exploration data is straight forward, and quick if you use the road to riches. Missions with large rep options are also probably faster than cargo. ( i would find a single jump a-b route with decent profit each way to trade if that is really what you want to go with. eddb or inara can be helpful for this.)

Just confirming, you were at Davy Dock, or Cormack Hub, or Greenland's Folly? Those are the only stations in Procyon owned by Sirius Corp. All the other stations are owned by other factions.
