Who here uses a stand/cockpit?

Who here uses a cockpit type sitting arrangement with there hotas? Today I received my wharthog n the damn thing is soooo heavy using it on my desk is out of the question. I plan on buying a cockpit thingy next month but unsure which or even where to start looking. I also need pedals which will be ordered with the stand. Who already has this type of set up and if you do, do you mind talking about it or showing pictures, thanks guys

Mate that is well out of my league, hes got a buttkicker thingy aswell. Well out of my league im looking to spend 300 pound tops for a frame.

Actually, if you've got access to some basic shop tools, why not get a new chair and make some mounts to fix you stick and throttle to the arms? Unplug the controllers and wheel the chair into a corner when you're not using it.
My preference would be to make it with metal, but if you're more comfortable working with wood I'm sure you could rig something up.
Many computer chairs have screws on the bottom of the armrests to fasten the cushions. You could replace the screws with studs to extend them and bolt a 1X6 to the bottom of the arms with your stick and throttle fastened to them.
Your local home hardware store should have a selection of shelf boards with a nice finish and shelf brackets to help mount them to the chair.
You'll save money and get something more comfortable if you're a bit handy or have a friend that is.

I have a noblechairs hero chair I plan to use with it, my keyboard n mouse is set in place so this will have to be used behind that. I might buy a mmo controller or the cougar to help with button usage

Keyboard is a problem - I keep it aside and put it on a lap when needed. :)

But usually I only need it to write a star system search. Otherwise Warthog buttons and Voice Attack cover my Elite needs nicely.

I'm not sure who you would even take it to. For the sort of money you're looking to spend you could buy a hand drill and all the tools it would take to do it yourself.

I have got an X56 setup, I built a bracket to mount it on the side of an office chair out of a sheet of plywood. The brackets stop the chair getting too close to my desk so I made it possible to fold the arms up and use the chair normally.

I put my HOTAS on my desk, but I have a Wheel Stand Pro for my racing wheel, pedals, and shifter. Highly recommend.
