can't play: connection status invalid token
I launch the game through steam, get to the launcher and launch the game (I've tried launching regular and horizons), then it will load up a bit and I'll get a notice saying I can't connect and should try again in a few minutes. In bottom left corner it say, "connection status invalid token".

I'm not sure what to do, I've tried validating the files and making sure it's allowed through windows. I've searched on google and these forums but haven't found anything close.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue is? Oh, when I'm at the launcher none of the picture load either, I'm not sure if that's important.

4: After having confirmed the creation of your account through the e-mail that they've send you, you need to link your Steam account.
To do so, stay on frontierstore.net and select "My Account" > "Account Dashboard" in the top right. Then on the left side you'll see a list of menus, go to "Partner Keys". Here you can link your Steam account.

After this, you should be able to play the game.

Having the same issue. Bought the game yesterday, but can't get it to start.

I bought the game during the latest sale a few days ago and just tried playing it today

Weird how the Launcher doesn't automatically prompts us to create an account. Maybe something for the developers to look at.

Or at least have Steam pop up a notification reminding you to create a Frontier account. In any case, glad you worked it out. Consider it practice for the in-game learning curve ;)

Edit: P.S. There is a stickied thread about the launcher and steps on the forum, but I can see how you might miss it.

Big thanks for this! You saved me a day of troubleshooting.

Once I had the Frontier account verified and linked with my Steam account, the rest went more-or-less smoothly. (Beginner hint: F12 to centre in VR so you can actually see the menu. And be sure the game window is in focus.)
