I cant buy ARX from steam

Maybe im a fool but i tried for like 3 days to buy some arx from the steam page because i have money on the wallet and i dont want to spend in an external page because of that. I know that ARX buyouts were on steam.
Is the page down or something? this will get fix or is no way that i can buy arx trought steam never?

There is no way of buying ARX on the Elite Dangerous Steam Store page.

you HAVE to go to frontier's external page but you CAN use your steam wallet on that page.

There was though. They had the Arx packs listed on the store, but they must have done the ItemDefs wrong for the russians because then that whole thing happened.

So they took it down, but then later it appeared again done better. Now it's gone again.

Tried both ways. Frontier store page won't log in properly with steam, and ARX item on steam takes your money and gives you no currency, then tells you to talk to frontier, who tells you to talk to steam, who refunds your money but puts it in a pending state.

Do not buy ARX.

i will say tho the prices are more expensive on steam than frontier store, and prices will change on frontier compared to steam as the pound will change ... steam will stay constant ......
want arx's best place frontier store

If you click on the blue "store page" button on the top right of this thread, you will be able to buy ARX directly from the steam-store ("items avaiable for this game"). For reasons unknown it wont show up if you manually search the store for it.

Edit: Maybe a mod can pin this info - i have a feeling that this question is asked quite frequently.

I am not the OP - but there is another issue: I bought exactly like this
(via steam, blue button etc) but those arx do not show anywhere in game, neither in the frontier store.

EDIT: then I logged in at the frontier store (which is linked to the steam account) and now the few arx I already got are gone too...

what a mess... It is only 20 bucks or so all together and I will survive this, but still this should not happen.

EDIT 2: AND I have a pending order at frontier store about a different amount of arx which I never could have made because I havent subscribed any buying/billing option at the frontier store.

so:
., pending purchase at frontier store, never finished that order in lack of payment option;
., open purchase from steam, never reached the frontier store nor the game,
., arx I had before are gone too.

guess it is time to contact frontier about this.

just to mention it, if anyone else has gotten into similar issues with arx-buying: opened a friendly support ticket and the guys at frontier helped me within a few days. problem solved :))

So you can pay from Frontier Store in Steam Wallet, but you have to make sure your Frontier Account is linked with your Steam account. If you log out from your Frontier account and log in with your Steam account it will show you the steam wallet option, but if I recall correctly, it doesn't work if you already have a Frontier account. You'll need to go into your Frontier account's settings and hit the Steam link thing and link your Steam account. Once that's done it works fine.

Are you saying you tried to buy the inventory items here on Steam and it hasn't showed up in your account? Log out of your Frontier account arx.elitedangerous.com and then log back in. It should show up.

In order for the inventory items to work, the game has to call Steam's API to get the Steam user's inventory. Then it finds the hidden item, it removes it, and gives you the relevant amount of Arx. I'm not sure if the game is set up to do the calls yet. Good times to call would be when it starts, when the user opens the in-game store, when the user goes to the main menu (and Frontier does its own Arx playtime accounting), and when the store goes down for maintenance. I'm not sure any of that is happening, but I know the website works. If you bought an Arx pack on Steam and it hasn't shown up in your account, go to arx.elitedangerous.com, if you're logged in, log out, then log back in again. Link your Steam account to your Frontier account from your Frontier account first if you haven't.

As the person above me said. You need to go to arx.elitedangerous.com, log in with your frontier account, then log out of your frontier, and log in with steam. Then, the arx should appear. Well, this worked for me, wen i didnt recieve my 5000 Arx i bought on steam.
