Switch Pro Controller Help
So I've just picked up the game and after messing around with KBM controls (with the manual rather than an in depth tutorial) I've come to the conclusion that a controller would be much better.

Only problem is that I only have a nintendo switch pro controller available. I've been messing with the configs but would appreciate some help. Anyone know a good layout? I've tried using mouse region on the right stick but that just sends me spinning in Starfox style barrel rolls if I let go of the stick.

If anyone has experience using a nintendo switch pro controller for this, I'd really appreciate it.

You already have steam, so go to big picture mode and enable your controller.

Don't use mouse regions; i use left stick for wasd; right stick for pitch/yaw; soft trigger is roll, hard trigger is fire, double trigger is autofire(this way i can roll while firing).

I use an xbox360 controller and i'm having good results bc i set it up with a tonne more keybinds via the big picture interface.

Also, be mindful that you can enable/disable "yaw into roll" in the game control configuration.

if you really want to use a Controller please get something better like a T16000M FCS or the very cheap HOTAS X, 4, or ONE. your switch controller will be lacking so many buttons you will need a ton of keyboard shortcuts.

You can have up to four keybinds on one key when using the steam overlay, so it's not really an issue. I started out using a highly programmable joystick and using a controller does everything just fine due to the extra programmability; no need to shell out for equipment you don't want.

Besides, i like playing ED while lounging on me couch. ;)
