Elite Dangerous

Elite Dangerous

Stations outside the bubble.
I've randomly found myself a few k from the bubble after 450 odd hours of play, I'm in a Conda that does about 30ly/jump and not played for a while.

Are there any stations out there with shipyards or whatever else worth visiting? Or should I head back before I go too far out and build another ship with better jump range? Anywhere really worth visiting where other players or AI are likely to be?

Yeah I had a google and found myself at eddb.io, but it won't recognise any of the systems I'm in... unless I'm missing something. I'm not too far from the Elephants Trunk, but further towards the centre.

for me i just dont worry about eddb

i just find the system address and enter it in the galaxy map.

hawkins gap outpost : System: PLAA AEC IZ-N C20-1

currently i am in song of lyre and there is nothing but space and usual out here lol,
but i am trying to complete my codex for each sector.

You can also look for a station in the galaxy map using the civilization =human filter. This works best if you have a destination/region in mind to travel to. However not all stations are in space, or can dock a large ship like a conda. (third party tools are useful to double check.)

The Elephant Trunk nebulae has an asteroid station as a mining operation. You can filter your Galaxy map by population, or just look at star system names that don't look like a long string of letters and numbers, but more like "HIP 1520".

Yes, it's a rare asteroid base located inside a ring - a must to visit.

Awesome, cheers everyone! I'm going to see how many of these are close to me at the moment, ended up doing a hundred or so more jumps towards the centre since writing this post.

That asteroid base looks worth a visit, but might hit it on the way back!
