No, it's just psuedo-Latin, which presumably both ED and Minecraft are using. If you look at the other "reported" crystals and other lifeforms listed in your Codex, you'll see them classified by colour, and the colours given are all in pseudo-Latin. Prasinum (green), Roseum (pink), Rubium (red), Flavum (yellow), that sort of thing. "Purpureum" is of course purple.
A Lagrange Cloud usually has two or three different lifeforms/objects in them. Check your radar for blips; those blips are often little gourd molluscs or other space-based lifeforms. Harmless, and you can scan them with the compo scanner too.
