So, I was out exploring, and I found THESE
Spiky bois

They're "purpure crystals", apparently. Neat. Is that a Minecraft reference (purpur blocks)?

Nice find. I am really looking forward to who will find the crystal forests first. :D
Sometime you can find other bois among the spiky ones. Keep your eyes open! :)

No, it's just psuedo-Latin, which presumably both ED and Minecraft are using. If you look at the other "reported" crystals and other lifeforms listed in your Codex, you'll see them classified by colour, and the colours given are all in pseudo-Latin. Prasinum (green), Roseum (pink), Rubium (red), Flavum (yellow), that sort of thing. "Purpureum" is of course purple.

I see. Can you mine them? My DBX doesn't have any mining gear. Crystallised purple is probably worth bank.

I find many screenshots but no specific detail s of where to find them.

You can't mine them. You can scan them with your composition scanner, for a Codex entry and Codex voucher you can redeem for 50,000 credits the next time you're in port.

A Lagrange Cloud usually has two or three different lifeforms/objects in them. Check your radar for blips; those blips are often little gourd molluscs or other space-based lifeforms. Harmless, and you can scan them with the compo scanner too.

Look them up in Codex under Discoveries -> Bilogical.

Cool, will have to research finding a Lagrange cloud. I hope there are some close to the bubble as I hate traveling very far.

Thank you.

Found all sorts of these cool things during Distant worlds, but I got sidetracked with RL and had to abandon the expedition at Sag A. I think my cutter is still docked at the port there, lol.
