Landing gear won't come out ?
This is my first space sim, so bear with me

I'm doing the second training mission and I'm at the part where I have to land my ship on docking pad 43 in the ezababa station or whatever.

I am in the docking bay, floating above the pad and I keep pressing L to deploy my landing gear, but nothing happens,

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug ?

Is there more to the process of deploying my landing gear ?

Deploying landing gear takes a bit of time... If you are not being patient and just spamming L, it will never fully extend and keep retracting each time you press it again.

maybe you want to re-check if the landing gear is still bound to L in your options. who knows. and give it a little time, getting the gear ready could take a second. usually your nav voice will announce success.

yeah I was kinda spamming it. It worked now and I finally managed to land after probably pissing off every single dock employee by crashing into everything.

I'm having a bit of a hard time learning the game so far, but I want a huge space game with more depth than no man's sky so I'm gonna keep trying it

Thanks for the advice !

The learning curve is pretty steep, but once you get the hang of it you're going to have a blast. I was absolute rubbish at docking when I first started, now I can zip in and be done in less than 30 sec.

I love that this game isn't easy in the beginning. I get a real sense of accomplishment from learning new skills or tricks of the trade. Very fulfilling for someone sick to death of games holding her hand. ~lol~
