Where to buy passenger cabins ?
Hey,

So I've looked up a bit and those passenger transport seems quite worth it, more than data or cargo delivery at least. But I can't find any passenger cabin to equip my ship so I was wondering where to get those ?

I mean in what kind of station can I buy them and how to recognize such stations on the system map ?

Hi there, you could try this site http://roguey.co.uk/elite-dangerous/equipment/

Just look for passenger cabins in the list, they start with its class (economy, business, first and luxury), click one of it then click where to buy in the next page. After that just type in the current system you are in and go. Hope that helps.

Look at stations in High Tech economies.

Thanks for the links, I'll check it out but more specifically, how can I know what station is High Tech economies before getting there ? Is there a way ? Like with the map.

You can filter the galaxy map and from the galaxy map you can look at some system maps to see how far the station is from the jump-in point. The 2nd tab on the system map can also give you more information on a specific object.

Alright, thanks, I much useful those links. Wonder how those spaces npc's do without internet.

Anyway, I assume I can't have more than one passenger cabin on my ship ? I wanted to replace my 2 cargo modules by 2 passenger cabins but I was only able to do it with one. For the second, the passenger cabins don't appear on the shop.

You need at least class 2 (I think, or 3) optional module to fit a passenger cabins, and the bigger the class the more you can fit a cabin that can house more people. If your ship only has one said module slot then that's the only one you can fit (assuming you used the other ones for shield, etc.)

Ok, I see. So I can only have one in this ship, so it's pretty useless considering there's apparently no mission for only 2 passengers or less.

Not to mention missions that pays good credit would take you thousands of light years, so that another to consider.

Anyway check this site out https://coriolis.io/ You can play around with ship builds, see if you can plan out what your (and your next) ship will become.

Passenger modules are obtained at any station with Outfitting that is High Tech(you can see which ones nearby are high tech on the galaxy map). As for starting, I'm unsure as I didn't start on them until I had my Asp Explorer. A good resource I recommend as well is the site eddb.io, it gives you ideas of what may be where.
