Finding Military Grade Alloys

Anyone know of a place to get these, I've spent probably a couple hours running around systems in states of war and civil war and haven't been able to find a single one. I've tried signals and even kitted out a combat fighter and took out a few ships but still no luck. I'm finding it actually pretty hard to find a decent sized system in a state of war, I've gone to the archon area because I heard it had lots of them and I think I'm currently in the biggest at like a couple million people and it still doesn't feel like anything is going on in it.

I've found 9 in total, just by dropping into high grade emission signals looking for other materials or as mission rewards. I'm afraid it's luck of the draw.

I spent probably 2 hours just coasting for signals, my main problem was that I only got maybe one signal every couple minutes and usually it was just a convoy or something

You can be sure, like me, that once you stop actively looking for them and want to find something else entirely... You'll find nothing but military alloys.

Edit: I did hear that there was a greater chance of getting a high grade emission signal near an earth like or water world.

First you'll need an Anarchy system, one with a War currently going on. Head there, and look for Combat Aftermath signal sources. These are a goldmine for rare resources, you'll find lots of valuable stuff there including the composites you need.

Bring collector limpets, it makes collecting the bits a lot easier.

finally found a anarchy war system, got a combat aftermath. Ofcourse I got like 3 chemical distilleries (something I had looked everywhere for earlier), and no alloys yet. Wish me luck i guess =p

You'll have to search a few wrecks, you'll get them eventually.

As for Distilleries, they're worth collecting. You use those for a few different high-end mods, including FSD Range Increase tier 4.

yeah I've had to collect them a few times, I think for those fsd upgrades. annoyingly I'm running into my material cap (who thought that was a good idea without any kind of station storage).

Supercruise off the main star you have arrived, 500Ls distance. make sure you are in region Deepspace, not traffic lane or near a stellar body (bottom right panel will tell you where you are). reduce speed to 1c and wait for USS to pop up. i found yesterday 3 in 30 min all with 3-5 materials to loot.

Can't you get them just by popping ships in conflict zones? Or is that one of they myriads other ingredients I'm thinking of?

Chancey method, as soon as you pick a side and shoot someone all his military specced mates will be all over you like flies round... well you know what they gather round.

You'd need a collector limpet module at least to make sure you aren't a sitting duck while scooping up stuff.

I always take a few collectors tbh, just kill as normal and once you have wiped all the nearby ships drop a few limpets and profit.
