Can't activate new weapon colour

Hi. Bought a yellow weapon colour but can't activate it. Looks exactly the same as the default. I have assigned the colour to the ship, in the livery controls. I have checked the modules on the ship and ensured the weapon colour module is on. There's no difference in colour between my yellow and my default beams. Anyone know what I'm missing? This was all bought through steam by the way. Thanks.

check your module control screen (ship management), it may be unassigned

Yeah. The yellow colours really, really close to regular c1, c2 lasers and multicannons for some reason.. Try firing a railgun or PA and see if that one's working alright, I guess..

Oh wow, I didn't realize it showed up in that tab. You can even power it down like with other modules.

Trust me, it's working. Problem is Yellow looks the same as stock. If you want something that sticks out, try Pink.

I bought a pink colour and it works fine. I guess it's just the yellow colour is naff - too close to the originals. The pink PA shots really stand out. Thanks all.

Pink is definitely my favorite. I'd refund yellow if I could.

I bought the darker Blue initially, but found myself getting confused, as reflections from laser hits looked just like target's shields were still up. Much happier with the green weapons now.

Even red is a bad choice.

yeah i bought all but the pink and purple. yellow and red need more brightness/luminescence, to get them to actually stand out. but they are noticable atleast on a PAC, as thats normally a dull pink (as i recall?).

i wouldnt mind being able to colour specific weapons, as it should actually be an option for individual hardpoints as well.
