can i carry meta alloys with a basic cargo hold?

Yes.They are not corrosive,your ship will not be damage.

The only things that are corrosive are "Thargoid" artifacts (Thargoid Sensors, Probes etc) and Toxic Waste. Meta-alloys are "anti-corrosive" in that they counteract the negative effects of selling Thargoid artifacts to a station.

ok thanx i have like 46 jumps to go that wouldve sucked if i needed that i dont even know how to get the cargo rack for the corrosive stuff

lol have a nice journy to there. If you are only looking for FSD long tange then you can do muurtik first she is easier and shorter range to get what she wants. Then you can engineer up for ship and do farseer.

It is, you just drop them out. I did this with soon relict for a friend.

Just take the time to visit Maia & buy the Anti-Corrosion Cargo racks. Granted it is quite a distance outside the bubble but you only need to do it once excluding the times you need to visit Palin. Take them off in Maia and store them, then fly back to your usual happy hunting ground. You can send for them when you need them or before of course. Buy three or four if you can afford it, you can always sell the ones you don't need. Fly safe & have fun Cmdr. o7
