I have tried a few different loadout and I found two good option.
1st loadout (better in close range combat)
2xHuge Burst (gimballed,G5 Efficent,no experimental) (beams can work also)
1xLarge Burst (turretted,G5 Efficent,no experimental)
2xMedium Multicanon (gimballed,G5 overcharged, autoloader)
1xSmall Multicanon(gimballed,G5 overcharged,emissive munitions)
1xSmall Multicalon(gimballed,G5 overcharged,corrosive shell)
(Multi only used when shield is down)
2nd loadout (I think its better burst damage) (better against small fast ships)
2xHuge Multicanon (gimballed,G5 overcharged ,incendiary)
1xLarge Burst (turreted, G5 Efficent, no experimental)
2xMedium Burst (gimballed, G1 Long range, no experiemental)
2xSmall Burst (gimballed, G1 Long range, no experimental)
(there can be some heat issue fireing everything too long but its managable with 3-4 pips on weapons)
Both need G5 engineered distributor weapon or charge focused.
Why bother with fixed on a huge ship like this when you can have them "fixed" without targeting if it is needed (chaffs lauched) problem solved yes its less dps but still. I think agains low level AI and big targets fixed can be good with a Vette but as an all around setup its a waste and a loss of overal sustained dps . Yes I know fixed can work but I don't think thats an all round balanced loadout .
(Using lots if fixed on a vette is only good for "showing off" .)
:D
edit: I have checked your loadout you posted that looks very fun but I guess its only effective against big ships. I think I will try it sometime but I am not sure how is the fire groups?
Lol what? Sorry but I can't see the correlation between someone using gimbal and "facing multiple rebuys". I am not even sure if you are talking about PVP or PVE but I am pretty sure the OP asked about PVE loadouts because he did not mention PVP and in PVE the fixed weapons and its damage bonus won't be the turning point between life or death ehh. So whats the point? I am sure you know that the gimballed weapons can be used as fixed also in case of chaff , etc. you loose the lock so Its just personal preference which one is the more fun for the player . You basically just said "gimbaled is for noobs".
/sigh
PvP, whos cares, I've been told thats come down to who can roll better stats at an engineer
Well firstly The corvette may be a massive ship but with G5 DD on A rated thrusters the corvette becomes maneuverable to utilize all fixed against pretty much any sized enemy; that being said Eagles are a pain to out turn but that leads into the second part of this reply,
My loadout is great against big and small alike as a blast from the dual Huge PAs is enough to vaporize most small ships and the fact that they are G5 long range means the shot speed is 1650 meters per second as opposed to the stock shot speed of 800 meters per second meaning I can easily hit those pesky little eagles with little trouble and in times where I do have an issue that’s when that lil bugger finds a “Cloud” of missiles wizzing towards them which normally spells death for them. The Cyroscramblers were mostly an afterthought as I had a pair lying around from my Archon Delaine days back at the start of PP; but I find them heavily effective against large slow ships and once their shields have been stripped they either eat corrosive buckshot Straight to the Powerplant or meet the twins.
I didnt say fixed can't hit small ships (I can hit eagles with Huge plasma on my Cutter). I said its not effective. No matter how good is the pilot he/she will miss with fixed weapons (the better the pilot the less ofc but there will be misses)
Higher ranked fast AI ships like Vulture, Cobra, Viper,Eagle change directions unpredictably a lot so even the long rangre PA will miss not to mention that these ships will outrun the Vette even with its G5 DD Thruster so if you can turn fast enough even than you can't keep your ship close enough while with long range gimballed bursts you can hunt them down a lot easier.
I also found that multiple fixed beams, bursts, pulses can be uneffective too against small targets above 1km after their shiled is down because the shieldless hitbox is so small that its very hard to keep all dot on these small ships simulataneously due to the fact that these dots does not have the same "focus point" in mid range (if they met at all at max range) . You you can use missiles to finish them but when people asking about combat builds I always try to suggest something what works the best. So I won't suggest using missiles when its a very "situational" weapons.
I am sure that loadout is pretty fun though and If I would have the Cyroscramblers unlocked I would use that for sure on every big ship thats a nobrainer since its just to much OP not to be used even if it has so bad jitter you will barely hit anything smaller than an Anacoda or an "ASPX within 100m". :D Even the packhoud sounds fun but I dont have that unlocked either and the standard seekers feels weak.
