Black Box recovery

I've got a bunch of black boa recovery missions that instead of it call for a target planet to look around, I have a target person. One of them is snugglepumkin. Am I missing something here? Has there been changes made to these missions? I've been doing these for a long time and some of them are over a million credits.

fly to the nav beacon and scan it/use a discovery scanner to reveal the target body, then if you stay in close range from the body a mission signal source containing a bunch of canisters and your black boxes should spawn within around 5 mins

since you said you have a name as target maybe you took an assassination by error? it should be the same process to find them though

Fly about in supercruise; after a while an NPC ship will spawn and ask you to drop down on their wake where they will give you the location you need to go for the black box/es.

Oh I understand all that. I've been doing these things at the rate of about 50 missions a week. They take about 15 minutes a piece and they pay off at a million credits. But that's the problem. It's not giving me a taget body or a icon on the system map. Next to target body on the mission contract is has a guys name. I've got 4 of them left. I can't figure this out and the contracts just keep expiring. I've done about 25 of these missions this week, but I've got these missions that don't seem to have a solution.

I've never seen the numbers next to the target. The (1/1)

I can't figure this out.

when you click show galaxy map Do you have a waypoint?

what station did you recieve the missions from?

I hate to be asking this but whats the main text in the mission?

it's a cargo retrieval mission then , find your target and make him drop the black box (limpets, cargo hatch damage)

Ok. How do I find a person? Do you think I need to check the planet bases in the system for this person? BTW The mission is from Gliese 58. I've been using this as my home base for a while now.

same process, scan beacon/ discovery scanner and go to target body, that or you can randomly find the target in supercruise when in target system, in that case they usually send messages you'll recognise and will know it's your target

do you have to make circles around the target body or can you just chill there for a few min and it show up ?

In my experience siting at minimum speed won't spawn the signal source, try to be around 5/10% and and stay around neither too close neither too far, also you don't want to be in the orbital cruise zone if it's a landable planet

The ones close to or over a million usually are ranked elite or close to, also the body you are looking for may be 100k's from jump entry.
