When one heart is exerted use the MCs to aim for it.
Multicannons were a dissapointment
It surprised me (and FDev it seems ... LOL) that it actually did any damage vs. the hearts to start with.
- one of your wing should scan the thargoid with the new aegis xeno scanner to expose sub-targets
- attack the hearts with AX missiles (rumors around, that it works with different weapons... but AX missiles work definitely) until one of the hearts 'open'... they start to glow red and blink on the scanner
- attack the opened heart with AX multicannons until destruction or the heart 'closes'
- repeat until all hearts are destroyed, than finish the thargoid
The AX missiles seem to be designed (in this moment) to open a heart while the AX multicannons are meaned to destroy an open heart. This may be on purpose or due to a nerf mistake... but it works. Whatever, don't try to shoot the thargoid's hull down... that doesn't work yet. :-)
Still what may make a difference. If you don't attack a heart, but jsut the thargoid ship you aim in the middle and maybe your chance to hit is a bit higher. Idk.
