Confused on Insurance
So, sadly just died for the first time. Was miffed that I lost a lot of cargo, but knew I had enough to pay the insurance. Paid the insurance on the next screen, and respawned with my ship in the last station I had been to. Couldn't get any decent missions then realized I had 0 cargo space and 0 weapons. I respawned in a station with no Outfitting spot. Ok, maybe my modules go into storage somewhere. I'll head back to a bigger station. When I get there and actually check all my stuff, I have 0 weapons, 0 optional internal, 0 of my lost modules in storage, but all my core internal stuff is there. Is that how that normally works? I think I misunderstood what insurance actually covered.

The insurance covers your whole ship's configuration, minus the payload cargo, itself. You probably didn't have enough of credits to cover it all, or you accidentally unchecked those modules in the list. Here the insurance always restored my ship to what it was.

Alimok. You unchecked the modules in the insurance screen after you got destroyed. I did the same the first time i got destroyed. The german translation was confusing (irreführend).

You can probably raise a ticket to FD, let them know you made a mistake, and they might restore what you lost.

Well, I'm not sure what I clicked or didn't click. If I'm supposed to get everything back, I'll stare at it a bit longer next time before I clickie anything. Thanks everyone.
