Thrustmaster Tflight HOTAS X not working SOLVED

Game was not recognizing the HOTAS or any bindings at all fix below

i cannot take any credit for fixing the issue... all credit goes to rakarsis over on the Frontier Forums and the fix is

"Solved it in case anyone else runs into this problem since it is a popular joystick. There is a little button on the front of the joystick that lets you toggle between PS3 and PC mode. I switched it back to PC and restarted my computer, but dxdiag still recognized it as "T.Flight Hotas PS3". I had to actually unplug the joystick and plug it back into the USB port to get my computer to recognize the change from PS3 to PC mode."


a little more info from me
while i had seen the switch when i gave the HOTAS a visual once over i did not notice it was set for PS3 by default so when i plugged it into the computer it was installed as a ps3 controller there's light up button on the throttle that should be GREEN for PC and RED for PS3 if you make make the same mistake/oversight as me and switch while connected UNPLUG the usb and plug it back in....


arrrgh all that time wasted cause some lunatic in the factory decided that default should be PS3 instead of PC pure lunacy

Glad you got it sorted! Let me know how you like the HOTAS, I recently got the T.Flight HOTAS One, which I believe is identical except is PC/Xbox (I use it on PC)

I was impressed at how good it mapped almost everything, including SRV driving, cameras, panels, etc. The stick and throttle feel rather comfortable, and I have some extra tension on the stick at the very end of the axis that I don't fully like.

But in general I was impressed... and yeah, I did notice the PC/Xbox switch on it :-)

Thank you oh so very much, I knew this red light at the front was not familiar and I couldn't figure out why my HOTAS was behaving differently than usual. I tried reinstalling the drivers and spent quite some time looking for a fix but nothing worked. Until I found this post. Thank you once again!
