Anaconda combat and exploration build
I want to build it mainly for exploration so as far as i can jump, without enginner would be nice and slightly combat based. Anyone would suggest any builds?

You want a DBS/DBX.

With the conda, you can either fit it for exploration, or you can fit it for combat. The exploration setup is too weak for combat (power plant, distributor, shields, armour, lack of weapons etc). The combat setup is too heavy for exploration.

Engineer mods greatly improve things, but you specifically said without engineers...

I'd also doubt the usefulness of a non-engineered ship for exploration.

Don't need engi mod for exploration, anything that can do over 30Ly in a jump should be able to get you pretty much anywhere. Extra jump range is nice, and long range scanners are a god send; not essential though. The SRV is bloody useful to have.

You get about 200 ly with a neutron star boost in an engineered AspX vs. about 120 ly unengineered. For a 5000 ly route that translates into 25 jumps (+ refuel stops) vs ~41 jumps.

Yes, you can go exploring without a modded drive, but depending on the distances involved you might not want to that.

You seem to have forgotten that many people did exploration before engineers just fine.

As i already said, you can do that. It wouldn't make much sense however, seeing how a modded drive also needs less fuel for the same distance.

I only want to do short term exploration like farming the engineers where i have to fly around while i can defend myself or do some massacre missions but. I have the dnx for long term like going to the center of the galaxy. I dont like the asp never flew one just for the fact that its ugly lol.

So a ana with the longest jumprange while i can take on few ships? Not combat focused but still have some good firepower. Mainly fpcus on jumprange. Any suggestion.

well i can get a multi role Python to about 27ly and it can do combat so a Conda should hit mid 30s as a combat/explorer build but only if the FSD is engineered to range level 5. an ASP might be ugly but she is one of the best Explorer ships out there hell even your DBX can do expoloring just as well but it takes Engineering. now a days its all about engineering. i am sorry to burst your bubble but spend a week or 2 farming mats it will save you more then a month in travel time later.

You really do need atleast the FSD mod. Just unlock Elvira, you have a DBX, so put a 4 tonne rack in it, grab 3 soontil relics and unlock her.
REMZilla 31 października 2017 o 22:21
So what happens when you unlock Elvira and get your modded FSD and the new update comes out in Q1 for Beyond?

Expect? Hm. I'd expect to continue to have the mod and be able to improve it at the same engineer again. However, I'm guessing something else will happen, like having to go to the engineer and start from scratch or something.
