OK, broadly, there's two kinds of missions as long as your "issue" is concerned:
In the first kind, the mission directs you straight to one location in a system, which is mentioned both in the mission description in the mission board and in your transcations tab once you've accepted it. This is the sort of mission that'll tell you "Go to Station X in System Y", for example, or "go to planetary body Y A2 in the Y system".
To plot a route to the destination in the galaxy map, once you selected the system in the galaxy map, then you use the system view (the icon that looks like an orbit) to check that system: you'll see a mission marker in the exact body or station you need to go, and plot a route to that exact body.
In the second kind, the mission description will only give you a system as the destination, not the exact location. To get the exact destination, you'll either have to scan the system's nav beacon or use an Advanced Scanner. Then the mission descrption will be updated with the exact location, which will show up in your messages tab, your transactions tab, AND as a mission objective in your navigation tab, so it's kind of hard to miss ;)
To make sure without having to look at tiny logos (also let us know if you'd prefer we answer in ALL CAPS :P), when you check the location of the mission in the galaxy map (and please notice you can do that BEFORE accepting the mission), you can go to the system view as described before. There you'll be able to see clear as day if the mission marker in in a planetary body or a station.
I have a mission with no clue how to get there.
I don't even know if I am in the right system, the mission details says absolutely nothing about where I'm supposed to go too, when I initially plotted the location ,it took me to a location but not the exact place and there is nothing on the system maps to show me where to travel too.
When I look to the left, the destination is blank while I see no nav beacons on my list of locations.
Eff this poo.
I find this very strange, as i personally never - ever - had a problem plotting courses to mission systems.
Have you looked at the galaxy map at all or are you only using said "left panel"?
When I search on the galaxy map,it comes up with nothing.
There are no indicators of how to get there.
I think this is a faction name.
No mention of where I'm supposed to be going in the transaction of the mission, what a joke!
Something like that.
Doesn't say any location just one sentence lmao.
Off to bed.
Will get back to this and the study of baldness and brain trauma tomorrow.
Yeah no, i'm out. My advice? Stop playing the game and uninstall it. Seriously.
What I put up is pretty much it.
I didn't put the exact credits.
I clicked on it expecting the message to expand but nothing happened.
Anyway ,going to bed,very tired.
TY for helping.
P.S. how do I make a screenshot and upload it to Steam?
That's exactly what it says.
Anyway, late here off to see the sandman.
So that's what it says on the transaction tab of your ship's navigation menu?
If so, that's not a mission, that's a bounty. You just shot down someone who happened to have a bounty on him. When that happens, a bounty such as what you describe shows up in your transactions tab (you thought it was a mission because they show up in a nearby place in the menu). now you can go to any station where the minor faction called Asellus Prime Gold is present, go to the contacts section of that station, select Authorities, and claim those 28K credits.
By the way, just checked EDDB (https://eddb.io/faction/1481) and they're called Asellus Primus (not Prime) Gold Legal Ind (not Inc). Anyway, you can go to any of the stations in the systems mentioned in the link i just gave you and claim your reward there.
(I should add, since we don't have that screeenshot, there's a slight chance that what happened is that you're the one who's got a boutny on you from that faction, maybe you did something they didn't like. If you head to one of those systems and "wanted" shows up in the low right corner of the screen, that's what happened, so head out of that system and wait for a few days. After that it'll become a legacy fine that you'll be able to pay off)
(edit: i'm inclined to think it's the second thing that happened, as i seem to recall that when you have a bounty reward to claim, the text says "reward at x" rather than "bounty at X". IIRC "Bounty at X" means you have a bounty on you.)
Let's see:
To upload:
In the main page, under "see" menu, select "screenshots"
In the popup menu, select the game (in this case Elite), the image you wish to upload, and click, well, Upload. For the purpose of posting it here, make sure it's set to "public".
To post it here:

In the popup menu, this time you click "see online". any screeenshots you uploaded will show up.
click on the thumbnail of the image you wish to post
once the full image shows up, right-click on it and select "copy url of image"
come here and paste (ctrl+V) it here. link will show and image will be added to the post.
