How do I get collector limpet?
Coming back to the game, I can see when I do bounty hunting the enemies are dropping materials after I kill them. It is a bit of work to use the cargo hatch to collect them all. I read that people use collector limpets to speed the process up. I never have used this module before. I killed something, switched over fire groups to use the collector limpet, I have no ammo.

I've went back to station and restocked and refilled ammo, but it didn't give me any collector limpet ammo.

Does anyone know how to get them? I see you can synthesize limpets, but I don't have enough materials and am would like to know how you can just buy them, if possible.

You have to go to advanced maintenance, on the tab where you buy ammo and such you will also be able to buy the limpets.

PS: they take cargo space and can be used with any limpet module, be it a collector, prospector or whatever.

Also, collector limpets autodestroy after recovering a thing if you have that thing selected. If you want to recover everything, it's usually better to not select anything and let them recover everything however they want.

Oh I didn't realize they were consumable. Hmm that doesn't seem like all that great of an option

it saves alot of time when gathering large numbers of items :)
note: some pirates see limpets as a reason to fire on you :)

another thing you should know, 1 limpet can retrieve many items or just a single item before terminating.

if you want 1 unique item, target the item then launch a limpet. it will get the item, put it in your hold, then self destruct.

if you want to collect all items near by, DONT target anything and launch a limpet. it will fetch items for a specified time (depending on your controler grade) then expire/die
