Scanning ships no longer providing crafting data?

Usually you can scan a random ship and about 50% of the time you get 1-4 pieces of random data. Well I tried gathering some anomalous bulk scan data today which should be really easy to come by and I was getting 1 piece of data every 20 ships scanned and only 1 anomalous bulk scan in about 80 ships. This is ridiculously low, is something wrong with the game?

Found some posts about this on the official forums. Someone even submitted a bug report, it seems to be a server side issue. It sounds kinda similar to the one where only 1-3 different materials are being offered as mission rewards instead of the full set.

Ah, might have started after the weekly reset. Someone making some changes server side that broke something.

It seems to be that for a few ships you won't get anything, then scan one military ship and get a good 6 or 7 data messages.

I got some just a few hours ago. maybe your data storage is full

Tried again today, out of roughly 200 ships scanned less than 10% provided a single piece of data. 3/200 ships provided 2 pieces of data and 1 type-9 provided 4 pieces of data. Out of that data only 1 piece was anomalous bulk data and I still need 2 more.

This is far too slow, I used to be throwing data away by the hundreds prior to the last major patch.
