Best place to get some quick Empire ranks?

During the beta I tried out the Imp. Courier and I love it, but now I find out I need Master rank to buy it back. Any advice?

Sadly, the Courier is more of a bigger Eagle than a smaller Cobra. It can fit for missions easily enough, but that means a sketchy 15Ly jump range and maybe only 8t of cargo bay space, give or take depending on if you want a fuel scoop.

Yeah, but you can a 25LY range (unengineered) with it for courier missions, which require no cargo.

The only use my courrier has in combat is running away. With a god roll on enhanced boosters and weight stripping you outfly flak and missiles.

With that speedy build I can get around 35 ly out of it iirc, which is fine for most inner bubble trips that span 100-150ly. Refuelling is faster, and docking/landing/taking off is significantly faster than in the conda, so for short trips with multiple stops I prefer it.

Playing around 4 hours per day I went from Viscount to Baron in about 3-4 days in Wu Guinagi doing data deliveries and planetary scans. It worked for me so it just might work for others too! :)

I found a nice post on the official forums that helped me out for the last bit of my Empire rank if you fancy a change.

Go to Col 285 Sector VO-I C9-12/Wilhelm Von Struve's Folly. Take mining missions for Water, Bauxite, Cobalt, Rutile or Lepidolite. It's all available on the market there but be careful, some is limited in supply. Just take the missions, buy stuff off the market then complete the missions.

Boring as hell but I went from 0% to a Cutter in less than a week and made several hundred million credits in the process.

I went to Cubeo and got in with the Prismatic Imperium but they are just not putting out when it comes to naval missions. I got to Serf and I'm just in limbo ATM.

My AspX is just too big and slow for grinding like this. I still have my starter Sidewinder coming to the station I wonder if that would be useful. Otherwise I'm gonna get a Cobra in the meantime.

Wu guinagi is imo best. Well it's certainly better than Quince in terms of Imperial ranks. Got my Cutter in about 3 days there. Plus it wasn't as mind numbing as Quince.

I second that, Wu Guinagi offers plenty of courier missions to a neighboring system just one jump away. You can rank up pretty fast there.

I'll also advise going to Wu Guinagi for Imp rank. It's pretty good way to rank up your empire faction in my opinion.

Whew, over a month of grinding and I finall got Master Rank and purchased that Courier! Now tim e to pimp it out.

Depends on how often he/she played, how long each play session was, and what was done to achieve said rank.

courier is a nice ship i used one at one point makes a good bounty hunter and is so fast its hard to get hit in.

Mainani and Ngalinn, and they are only 3 ly apart, best place for Empire ranks by far. Plus they offer very profitable hauling missions too within 100-300 ly range. Recommend using Python or ASP X if can't afford a Python yet.

I did a whole lot of space truckin', surface scan mission, and donating and it was brutally grindy. I think each mission would only net me about 3-4% towards ranking up, then I spent the last couple days waiting for a Navy mission to pop up.

I have not long started my federation grind at ceos, hopefully it doesn't take too long! A month isn't exactly what I was looking for on my journey to the corvette xD
