Mass locked bug?

Been mass locked for like a week now, anyone know how to get rid of this? I've tried everything I could find by googling. Literally, I've spent probably 3 or 4 hours between researching how to get rid of this and messing around in game, trying to fix it. I'm at a loss.

I think that's exactly the thing OP is trying to find out :-)


I would suggest to try and run a different version of Elite - either the 32bit version or non Horizons (if you've got Horizons) and see if that clears the mass lock.
Otherwise the only thing that remains is to contact support.

Yes seriously, a week. Now, I haven't had the game running that long. When I said a week, I mean that I would log on for like 45-90mins, try to mess around with it, google stuff while flying, etc. Straight flying, probably a good 5 hours,

Dude, this is the first time I heard this. I just tried it, didn't work unfortunately. Really frustrated. Going to call support tomorrow.

Sorry to ask the obvious, but are your cargo scoop, landing gear, and hardpoints retracted? Just to rule it out. A screenshot of your HUD would be helpful, too.

if your are mass locked maybe you're in one of these asteroïd belt around a sun that are not easy to see, so you think you are clear of anything but you might be in the belt, happened to me once

Alirght, thanks for all the replies everyone, yes I did try all that stuff. I talked to Customer Service, took about 10mins, but they just reset my ship back to the last station I was at and noted where i was and what I was doing when it happened. I normally try and push off calling CS because of wait times, getting routed around to differenct reps, etc. I was very surprised at how quick it was.

So it's fixed, I learned a lot a long the way.
