How is Elite in comparison to EVE Online?

The only thing they share is that they take place in space.

It's not EVE, it's not an MMO, there's no player economy or official guilds, you are a lone pilot in yoru chair from a 1st person perspective. It's a recreation of the original 1984 Elite

Elite is a lot less grindier than EvE. EvE is like a second job. ED you can pick up and put down whenever you want (unless you are determined to hold rank in Powerplay or something, but that's only for those who are really commiitted to it).

EVE has better rules, mechanics, and mission system. Elite beats it in actual game play and immersion.

To fly in EVE you just pick a direction and double click. To shoot someone you just click a couple buttons on your keyboard after targetting them.

My account in EVE is over 10 years old and i have thousands of hours in game play and nearly a trillion in assets. Since discovering Elite i have not went back other than to log in to the test server and insta nuke players with my Titan.

Yeah it is a really good seemingly unbiased comparison. A few things have changed in Elite and EVE since it was made. Still pretty relevant.

I got to say, Elite is the better flight experience by far obviously but other than that, Eve is superior in all other ways.

Elite is the bigger grind by far and after a couple of weeks you'll probably be asking yourself how can this wonderfullly beautiful game be so damn boring.

Both have high grinds. Eve does a better job of making that grind feel worth it. ED does a much better job letting you enjoy the thrill of flying in space.

Maybe 'amazed' is the wrong word - perhaps 'confused' fits better there....

I have only come here to look few things up. Go through my comments. At the end of the day the game is ♥♥♥♥. I can't even make 2 jumps if I have anything in the cargo hold without being interdicted by other ships that just pop into the existence out of nothing. Ridiculous.

So, what you are saying is
that the game is bad because

The flight mechanic of Elite, or should I say the soup you fly through in Elite is amazing? Yeah, the soup is really good.

They could learn a lot from Eve by allowing players to create their own companies (corporations) and give them the power to recruit, build economies, take over systems and run the galaxy the way they see fit.

If Elite would do away with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ made up make believe power poop factions and allow players to build their own factions then Elite would be on par with Eve in ongoing playability.

Elites' soup and ships are good, the rest is poop.
