Strange wake solutions?
Am I doing something wrong here? As I understand it you get strange wake solutiuons from scanning high energy fsd wakes with a wake scanner. I've been sitting outside underwood station in perun scanning all the wakes that pop up but I'm getting absolutely nothing.

Does it have to be NPC wakes or CMDR wakes? Neither seem to give me anything.

its kind of random. different systems can have different results on scanning. just jump from system to system and scan ships and wakes

it's a very rare mat - you usually get about 1 every 30 or so scans.

Find the absolutely busiest station you can (more wakes to scan). Hang in there, it can get old real fast when you're looking for one thing in particular.

I find it better to just randomly spend an hour scanning things every now and again instead of searching for something in particular, so I've always got most things to hand. I do the same with materials gathering... Except polonium, that's one I always go looking for at the moment as I'm running low.

very rare... and some how i got over 30 last night... but I do tend to scan all ships i see and im always moving to new systems lol

you have to equpt a wake scanner and scan high wakes so it's different.

I've read that if you go to an outbreak system and drop into a distribution point you'll have so many ships coming in and out you'll be scanning constantly. I haven't done because I haven't had to mod any FSD drives in a while but next time I need those...I was planning to try it.

no wake scanner and I aquired 30 without tring, they may have been part of some missions, but 30 none the less in about 4 hrs. spent some time around sol and sirus systems kuk and leesti too i think... and many inbetween

I spend around 2 hours last night at the CG port in Perun scanning everything. I must have scanned 50 wakes and got absolutely nothing from any of them, so I'm worried that it's bugged or something.

I think systems in a boom state works well. usually have lots of traffic leaving the stations.

I am out bubble on my way to Colonia but before I left last night I had no issues doing Wake scans and getting what I needed. I was in Fed space around LHS 3447

doesn't matter. I got all mine in solo mode.

Just figured out why I wasn't getting any data from Wakes... My inventories data limit was full. Doh!

i would say this is the most likely answer. I had a similar issue with exquisite focus crystals then I had more than i knew what to do with lolz
