as for learning to fly and gaining credits for equipment, you have to earn your stuff here. theres many ways to make good money. you just have to know where and how. much of elite has been designed to be a game of discovery so they wont tell you everything about the game since that would ruin the experience.
This is more of an RPG sort of game, where you have to earn those upgrades, and progress to different ships. I suggest you reconsider if this is the game you thought you were buying. Incidently, Star Citizen isn't really a game yet, it's an 'alpha' pre-release. This is a full game.
